Clinton third baseman Dax Russell made his presence felt in the 12-5 LumberKings triumph over the South Bend Cubs. Russell went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Don Sanderson collected his 2nd save. The triumph makes Clinton 14-11, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2025.

Marc Reynolds, who is tied for 7th in the MID in runs scored with 16, aided the Clinton cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3 with 2 walks.
