TinCaps Roll to 8-3 Win Over Loons
The Fort Wayne TinCaps overcame a pretty good performance by Great Lakes third baseman Lou Walker, beating the Loons, 8-3, at Parkview Field. Walker was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the loss, Great Lakes is 10-14.

Christian Nygård had a big 3-run home run for the TinCaps in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Fort Wayne leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Josh Peterson and swatted a home run to left. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the TinCaps ahead, 6-2.

Nygård told a Fort Wayne Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
