Bowling Green and Lake County got after it at Bowling Green Ballpark.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods defeated the Lake County Captains, 6-3, in Midwest League action at Bowling Green Ballpark. Bowling Green pitcher José Quiñones had a standout performance. Edwin Hinkle earned the save, his 4th.

Greg Lewis had a big 2-run double for the Hot Rods in the bottom of the third inning. With Bowling Green leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Jesús Gómez and swatted a double to center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hot Rods ahead, 4-1.

"It feels good to get this one," Quiñones told the Bowling Green Bulletin.

Lake County now has a record of 15-7.
