Snappers Lose to Kernels in Walk-Off
The Cedar Rapids Kernels defeated the Beloit Snappers, 2-1. Doing his part was designated hitter Bob Hill, who threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. With their winning streak at 7, the Kernels have raced to a strong start this season.

T.J. Martínez was the walk-off hero for Cedar Rapids. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Kernels left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Beloit manager Nelson Liriano. "Obviously."
