Thunder Solve Binghamton in Extra Innings
|
In a tight tilt between Trenton and Binghamton, pitcher Jorge López was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 1-0 Thunder win. Picking up his 2nd save was fireballing left-hander Tony Sargent. The Mets, now 3-13, continue their inauspicious start.
López allowed no runs on 4 hits over 9.2 innings for Trenton. With the win, the southpaw is 1-1 with an ERA of 1.98.
"Jorge was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Trenton manager Cody Decker.
