Great Lakes third baseman Curt Evans made his presence felt in the 7-4 Loons triumph over the Lansing Lugnuts. Evans was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. With the loss, Lansing drops to 9-9.

Great Lakes used a timely hit from Rob Montgomery to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Loons ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

In postgame remarks, Evans said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
