Clinton pitcher Ron Wallace did his part in helping his team defeat the Quad Cities River Bandits, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was Wallace. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Juan Saucedo. Earning his 2nd save for Clinton was Ben Barrera.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Wallace was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Quad Cities trailing 2-1, Wallace retired Ken Farmer, who grounded out.

The River Bandits fall to 5-8 and continue their sputtering start to the 2026 season.
