Peoria Chiefs starter Tony Houston pitched effectively against the Burlington Bees at Dozer Park. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 6-2 win. Burlington is 6-4 after the loss.

Ricky MacKey had a big bases-clearing double for the Chiefs in the bottom of the second inning. With Peoria leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Juan Silva and swatted a double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 4-0.

"Tony throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Peoria manager Phil Nevin.
