The Bowling Green Hot Rods picked up a win at Bowling Green Ballpark, taking down the Dayton Dragons, 5-3. Starting pitcher Jake Canavan was a big reason why. Von O'Sullivan got the save, the 1st for him this season. Bowling Green goes to 4-3.

Chris Jones had a big run-scoring double for the Hot Rods in the bottom of the second inning. With Bowling Green leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Johnson and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hot Rods ahead, 2-0.

"When Jake is on, he can really move the ball around," said Bowling Green manager James Hoyt.
