The Quad Cities River Bandits defeated the Burlington Bees by the score of 9-5, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Xinpeng Tse. Tse was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the River Bandits on the day. Joe Davis picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Juan Silva suffered the loss. A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Octávio Villalobos was at the plate when Quad Cities scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the River Bandits to go in front, 6-4.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Villalobos.
