The Dayton Dragons picked up a win at Bowling Green Ballpark, knocking off the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 8-2. On the mound for Dayton was right-hander António Lara. He played a key role in the triumph. The victory makes Dayton 2-4.

Dayton third baseman Ben Reid contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 3-0.

"António is one tough son of a gun," said Dayton manager Manny Amador.
