Wisconsin Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Waller
The Burlington Bees overcame a pretty good performance by Wisconsin first baseman Steve Waller, beating the Timber Rattlers, 10-8, at Community Field. Waller was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Jesús Vázquez earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Juan Romano closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.

Coy Patterson drove in one run for Burlington. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Jesús Gonzáles. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

In postgame comments to the Burlington Citizen, Patterson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The loss puts Wisconsin at 2-3.
