Clinton and Cedar Rapids got after it at Alliant Energy Field.
The Clinton LumberKings topped the Cedar Rapids Kernels, 8-4, in Midwest League action at Alliant Energy Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Clinton pitcher Ken Bush. The win puts Clinton at 3-1.
Clinton third baseman Tony Walker helped the LumberKings go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Walker hit a run-scoring single off Cedar Rapids pitcher Brendan Cummings.
"Ken made his pitches," said Clinton manager Clay Buchholz.
