Bowling Green Sent Home with 4-3 Loss
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Dayton Dragons got the win.
Bowling Green got a decent performance from pitcher Damian Clark, but it wasn't enough to beat the Dayton Dragons. Dayton won the Fifth Third Field contest, 4-3. Clark threw 8.0 innings allowing 4 runs for the losing team. Juan Sánchez stitched up the save, his 1st.
António Téllez helped out the Dayton cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
Téllez told the Dayton Daily News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
Bowling Green falls to 2-1.
