Whitecaps Take Tight Tangle
The Lansing Lugnuts got a superb performance from pitcher Bob Davis, but the West Michigan Whitecaps still won the game, 3-2. Davis threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Lansing drops to 0-2.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for West Michigan. That's when Ted Garland hit a solo home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Dorian Abbott to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

Said Garland: "What's not to like about a walk-off win?"
