In a low-scoring contest between the St. Lucie Mets and the Fort Myers Miracle, Monte Craig was the X factor. The St. Lucie left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Picking up the save was Kel Turner. He's now 5 for 5 in save chances. The first-place Mets, at 82-55, lead the FSL South by 9½ games.

Steve Adams drove in one run for St. Lucie. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tim Edwards. It was his 17th RBI of the season.

"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Mets manager Jorge Hernandez.
