Fort Myers Beats Lakeland, 9-2

Andy McCormick had a strong outing for the Fort Myers Miracle against the Lakeland Flying Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 9-2 win. The last-place Miracle are now 61-75, the Flying Tigers 90-46.
In the top of the fourth, Fort Myers right fielder Steve Stewart had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Stewart stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 3-1, Fort Myers. For the game, he went 1 for 4.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Fort Myers manager Tony Thomas.
