The Lakeland Flying Tigers downed the Tampa Yankees, 6-3, at Joker Marchant Stadium. The Flying Tigers were led by Jesús Ríos. Ríos went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Greg Arroyo had a big 2-run triple for the Flying Tigers in the bottom of the second inning. With Lakeland leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Luis Fuentes and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flying Tigers ahead, 3-0.
