Nelson López was a major factor in the 6-4 St. Lucie win over Clearwater. The Mets catcher was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Clearwater is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 10 games.

St. Lucie used a timely hit from Bo Hale to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mets ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
