Yankees Drop Cardinals, 4-3

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Tampa Yankees and Palm Beach Cardinals.
Tampa picked up a win at George M. Steinbrenner Field, bumping off the Palm Beach Cardinals, 4-3. Pitcher Dave Cobb was a major reason the Yankees emerged victorious. Cobb, now 8-7, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. Clarence Amdrade wrapped it up, recording his 12th save.
The Yankees got a big hit from first baseman Willie Middleton. In the bottom of the sixth, Middleton smacked a 2-run home run off Palm Beach pitcher Wing-chiu Huang. It was his 11th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Yankees were ahead, 3-2.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Middleton after the game.
Tampa has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
