Clearwater got a strong outing from Sigfrid Naegeli as the Threshers defeated the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 2-0, at Bright House Field. Daniel Brunt got the save, his 16th in 17 chances.

Naegeli went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits. The Clearwater right-hander, now 5-5, has an ERA of 4.82 this season.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Naegeli.

By defeating Lakeland, the 5th-place Threshers improved to 41-55.
