The Fort Myers Miracle topped the Clearwater Threshers, 7-6, in Florida State League action at Hammond Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Fort Myers pitcher and Socorro, Texas, native Tim Fullerton. Garry Gilmer picked up the win in relief. Daniel Brunt took the loss for Clearwater. The defeat makes Clearwater 34-53.

Jon Adams was the walk-off hero for Fort Myers. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Miracle shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
