St. Lucie Mets starter Chet Bass turned in a top-notch performance against the Dunedin Blue Jays at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. The result was a win for the Mets, 10-2. St. Lucie has now won 4 in a row.

Kevin Burke had a big grand slam home run for the Mets in the top of the eighth inning. With St. Lucie leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Stroud and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Mets on top, 9-2.

"I like our moxie," said Mets manager Jorge Hernandez.
