MacFadden Delivers Walk-Off Win for Threshers
The Clearwater Threshers faced a tough opponent in Fort Myers pitcher José Romero, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Bright House Field by a final score of 3-1. Romero went 7 innings and allowed no runs. José López, who went 9 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 5-2. The Threshers go to 25-44 with the win.

Clearwater got a knockout punch from Sam MacFadden. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said MacFadden.
