Late Rally by Cardinals Secures 6-2 Win
Spirited fans greeted the Charlotte Stone Crabs for their clash with the Palm Beach Cardinals.

Palm Beach Cardinals starter José Jaramillo hurled his team past the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6-2. Wing-chiu Huang came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0.

Doug Williams provided a timely hit. The Palm Beach designated hitter delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cardinals on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Cardinals manager Irving Falu. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."

The Cardinals raised their record to 26-38.
