Tampa Yankees starter Mike Armstrong was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6-1. The Yankees have now won 8 straight.

It could have been a different outcome for Tampa, had it not been for Steve Lowe, the 22-year old shortstop . Lowe contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Tampa up, 6-1.
