Stone Crabs Get Thrilling 7-6 Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Charlotte Stone Crabs eventually prevailed.

The Charlotte Stone Crabs topped the Palm Beach Cardinals, 7-6, in 10 innings at Roger Dean Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Charlotte designated hitter Lou Woods. Josh Cox, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-1. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. Héctor Molina earned the save for Charlotte, his 1st.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Woods delivered big-time for Charlotte, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Juan Ángel. The game-changing hit put the Stone Crabs on top, 6-5.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Charlotte manager Brad Salmon.

The victory gives Charlotte a record of 31-26.
