|
Joe Collins kept the Charlotte Stone Crabs hitters from doing much damage at Tradition Field.
Charlotte could only muster 8 hits and draw 3 walks against the right-handed Collins, who controlled them throughout the game. St. Lucie won the contest, 5-0. Collins added 4 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Collins told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
