The Lakeland Flying Tigers grabbed a win, 6-1, over the Clearwater Threshers at Bright House Field. Lakeland center fielder Dave Murphy went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Lakeland is sitting pretty at 44-11.

It could have been a different outcome for Lakeland, had it not been for António Javier, the 23-year old second baseman . Javier contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Lakeland up, 3-0.
