Miracle Fight for 7-6 Win
The Fort Myers Miracle withstood a good performance by St. Lucie catcher Nelson López to knock off St. Lucie, 7-6, in 10 innings. López went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Fort Myers is now 24-28. St. Lucie is 31-21.

The decisive blow was delivered by Joe Collins in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Mitch Smith to win the game for Fort Myers. The home crowd went nuts.

Collins told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
