Mets Win, 5-3, Over Jupiter

The St. Lucie Mets topped the Jupiter Hammerheads, 5-3, in Florida State League action at Roger Dean Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of St. Lucie pitcher Rudy Alexander. St. Lucie has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
St. Lucie used a timely hit from Nelson López to get the win. The catcher stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mets ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said López. "You've got to get results."
