A 3-RBI performance from Steve Walker, who is rated as the 43rd best prospect by BNN, helped the Brevard County Manatees beat the St. Lucie Mets, 3-1. Brevard County reliever Rubén Segura snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Chet Bass shouldered the loss. Johnny Blackwell picked up the save for Brevard County, his 8th of the year.

With Brevard County trailing 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Walker hit a fastball from Chet Bass for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Manatees ahead, 2-1.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Brevard County manager Jeremy Hernandez. "It's usually not just one thing."

The Manatees sport a record of 11-33.
