Blue Jays Post 6-4 Win Over Clearwater
The Dunedin Blue Jays used the hitting of designated hitter Kevin Mullins to subdue the Clearwater Threshers, 6-4. For the game, Mullins went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Jon Downing got the win, improving to 3-4. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. It could have been a different outcome for Dunedin, had it not been for Jim Morgan, the 25-year old center fielder . Morgan contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fifth inning to put Dunedin up, 5-2.
