St. Lucie starter Joe Collins pitched well against the Bradenton Marauders at Calvin Falwell Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-4, in 14 innings. St. Lucie reliever Luis Lucero picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jesús Sánchez absorbed the loss. Leo Hendricks earned the save for St. Lucie, his 1st.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Bo Hale? The 23-year old shortstop Hale stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 14th inning to put St. Lucie up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 6, including 1 double and 1 single.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said St. Lucie manager Jorge Hernandez.

St. Lucie has now reeled off 10 straight wins.
