Alonso goes 4-for-5 to Light Threshers Fuse
The Clearwater Threshers beat the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 10-4, at Joker Marchant Stadium. Clearwater shortstop Raúl Alonso had an outstanding performance. He was 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Steve Ives earned the win, while 23-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Jackson took the loss for Lakeland. The win puts Clearwater at 8-31.

Clearwater first baseman Walt Blair helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Alonso. "It sure beats the alternative."
