|
Sergio Rico knocked in 3 runs to help Charlotte beat Bradenton, 8-4. The second baseman collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Charlotte has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
With Charlotte leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Rico hit a fastball from Alex Barrett for a 2-run double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Stone Crabs ahead, 4-0.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Charlotte manager Brad Salmon.
