The Daytona Tortugas pinned a convincing loss on the Clearwater Threshers, 13-3, at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Josh Anderson was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 6 for Daytona. Chad Johnson went 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The right-hander, who leads the FSL in wins with 5, struck out 7 and walked 2. With the win, he's now 5-1 this season. Daytona now has a record of 18-11 with the win.

With Daytona leading 9-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Anderson came up to bat against Clearwater pitcher Ken Ross. Anderson hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Tortugas on top, 13-1.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Anderson.
