Manatees Tuck Away 9-4 Win Over Tampa
The Brevard County Manatees earned a win at George M. Steinbrenner Field, knocking off the Tampa Yankees, 9-4. On the bump for Brevard County was right-hander Pete Williams. He had a starring role in the triumph. Williams, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The Yankees, 10-18, continue their poor start to the 2025 campaign.

Brevard County used the hitting of Jeremy McGee to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Manatees on top, 2-0. For the game, McGee had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Williams.
