Ben Carpenter, who leads the FSL in complete games with 1, propelled his team to victory over the Brevard County Manatees. The final score was 5-3, Daytona. Brevard County drops to 11-16.

Daytona used a clutch at-bat from Jesús Rodríguez to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Tortugas ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"This was a good win," said Rodríguez.
