Flying Tigers Keep Clicking, Win, 2-1

Lakeland picked up a win at Joker Marchant Stadium, bumping off the Palm Beach Cardinals, 2-1. Pitcher Eric Jackson was a major reason the Flying Tigers emerged victorious. Jackson, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 5, and allowing 1 run. José Cervantes earned the save for Lakeland.
Garry Bishop, who is tied for 10th in the FSL in RBI with 18, helped out the Lakeland cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3 with a walk.
In postgame remarks, Bishop applauded his team's "resolve."
Lakeland is now 22-5.
