Manatees Resilient in 8-7 Win Over Clearwater
The Brevard County Manatees besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Clearwater third baseman Sam MacFadden by beating the Threshers, 8-7, at Space Coast Stadium. MacFadden was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. To call the performance of the 4-16 Threshers woeful so far is an understatement.

Jeremy McGee was the walk-off hero for Brevard County. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Manatees second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place went bonkers," McGee said.
