Clearwater Gets 4-2 Win
The Clearwater Threshers beat the Dunedin Blue Jays, 4-2, at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Greg Dunlap, who is tied for 4th in the FSL in triples with 1, starred for Clearwater. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. Steve Ives, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 5. Daniel Brunt picked up his 5th save of the season.

Clearwater used the hitting of Josh McLaughlin to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Threshers on top, 3-2. For the game, McLaughlin had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I just tried to make good contact," said McLaughlin.

The loss makes Dunedin 9-8.
