Victory Takes Flying Tigers to 12-4
The Lakeland Flying Tigers earned a win at Joker Marchant Stadium, knocking off the Daytona Tortugas, 8-2. On the bump for Lakeland was left-hander Sean Bevins. He had a starring role in the triumph. The Flying Tigers, now 12-4, have been sizzling early on.

Making an impact for Lakeland was third baseman Cisco Ortíz. He drilled a double off Doug Hayes in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Ortíz went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times.

"Sean was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Lakeland manager Donald Lutz.
