Daytona Tortugas starter Kurt Williams found his groove in his team's 3-2 win over the St. Lucie Mets. Alex Ashe, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1 innings. Losses have been few and far between for the Mets, now 9-3.

Daytona got a game-changing hit from Shawn Alomar. The designated hitter blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
