Marauders Topple Yankees with Late Rally
The Bradenton Marauders had to overcome a good performance from Tampa pitcher Dave Cobb to claim a 3-1 win at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Cobb went 9 innings and allowed 3 runs. Phil Wise was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Cobb. Bradenton, now 6-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Jeff Kennedy came through with a big-time hit for Bradenton. The first baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Winning is always a team effort," Kennedy said after the game.
