Dunedin Tacks 4-1 Loss on Brevard County
|
The Dunedin Blue Jays beat the Brevard County Manatees, 4-1, at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Starting pitcher Chris Hughes was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Doug Winters closed the game out for Dunedin, earning his 2nd save. Brevard County drops to 1-3.
Dunedin second baseman José López contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 2-1.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said López. "But I like how we're playing right now."
