The Winston-Salem Dash beat the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 7-4. Winston-Salem third baseman and Powder Springs, Georgia, native Steve Winters led the way. Winston-Salem reliever Elroy Graham picked up the win to move to 5-0. Thom Mercer suffered the loss. Danny Álvarez got the save, his 10th in 11 chances.

Early in the game, Winters had a bases-clearing double for Winston-Salem. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Dash on top, 5-2.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Winters.

The Dash now have a record of 64-72 with the win over Wilmington.
