It was not a good day at the plate for the Salem Red Sox. They came up empty when it mattered against Winston-Salem Dash right-hander Orlando Reyna, who scattered 5 hits across 9 innings and held the Red Sox scoreless.

"We had 5 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Salem manager Jose Nieves said later.

Reyna chalked up 10 strikeouts and no walks in the 11-0 Dash win.
