Big Day for Gibson as Hillcats Down Nationals, 5-1
The Lynchburg Hillcats stymied the Potomac Nationals, 5-1, at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. Ed Gibson had a good day at the plate. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Lynchburg. Picking up the win was Renaldo León. He went 9 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits. The left--hander struck out 6 and walked 3. Yes, it was a win for Lynchburg; but their 22-90 record is still nothing to boast about.
