Steve Tamamura left his imprint on the 8-3 Wilmington win against the Potomac Nationals. Tamamura was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The first-place Blue Rocks, at 60-52, lead the Northern Division by 2 games.

Jim Reed had a big 2-run double for the Blue Rocks in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Wilmington leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Rouse and swatted a double to left. It was his 27th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Rocks ahead, 5-2.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Wilmington manager Ozzie Timmons.
