Potomac starter Steve Strouse pitched well against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-5. Sean Wilson closed it out for his 6th save. The Nationals are now 51-58, while the Pelicans fall to 41-67.

Had Chet Price not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Price hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Nationals.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Strouse.
