The Frederick Keys defeated the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 12-7. Shortstop Héctor Cordero deserved a large share of the credit. Cordero was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5 for the Keys. Myrtle Beach now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

In the top of the seventh, the Keys grabbed the lead when Cordero hit his 12th double of the season. The 2-run double off Augusto Balderas made it 6-5, Frederick.
